Thanks to video games and the anime boom of the 90s, East Asian and particularly Japanese storytelling has increasingly become a style that Western audiences enjoy. Where Western entertainment has relied on the traditional three-act structure, Japanese media favors a four-act structure. Beyond the basic mathematical difference of three versus four, how do these structures differ? And how do those differences affect the narrative? Uncover the secrets of crafting stories that resonate universally while celebrating a rich diversity of narrative traditions in this one-hour-long explorative workshop.
